Happy Halloween!
Aiden absolutely loved Halloween and his lion costume this year. He laughed every time we put it on him and said "Roar!!!!" to everyone. It was very cute. He also caught on to the whole trick-or-treat concept very quickly. We had to keep up with his little legs running as fast as they could to the next candy bowl.
Our subdivision has a large park where every year, everyone sets up their lawn chairs and candy bowls so the kids can trick-or-treat in a big circle. Aiden loved saying "treat" and "dank you" (along with the sign for thank you) to everyone. Surprisingly, he didn't try to eat any of his candy; it was all just too exciting to stop.

Apparently Bryce and I went as BSU fans.

Upon discovering what happens when he says trick-or-treat...

We ran into our neighbor and friend, Chad. They just stared at each other, probably wondering "who are you?"

Aiden's little tail wagged when he ran, which he is doing in this picture.

It is so fun now that Aiden is getting old enough to have fun during the holidays. I absolutely love this time of year.
In other news, this entire toppling stack of theory books need to be read, analyzed, and reported on by Dec. 1! Aaaahhhh! Wish me luck, and sanity. And hope you had a Happy Halloween!

I think I had this exact same pumpkin bucket at his age...

Cute Pics
Discovery Center
This past weekend, our good friends the Vest's came to stay with us. Aiden had an absolute blast running around with Boston and Brody.
We spent most of the day Saturday at the Discovery Center in downtown Boise. We had never been, but it was well worth $6.50 and free kids admission. The place is packed full of activities for kids that teach about science and interaction. Aiden ran around in circles because there was SO much to do and look at.

We had a few stations we liked more than others. One favorite was the giant bubble blower. It was pretty intense:
Aiden, Boston, and Brody helped out the 'sick' animals in the veterinary center, while Bryce and Shane competed on who could finish wooden puzzles the fastest. Joanna and I watched, thinking "I think our husbands are still 8 years old!"
The kids spent the most time in the grocery store. It made me realize how observant kids are! They each got their own shopping cart to grocery shop with, put food into their carts and checked out at the register. The kids knew exactly what to do (though they ended up with a lot of zucchinis and laundry detergent).
Then we played in the park. The kids were non-stop the entire day. What a great way to spend a Saturday! Thanks for coming guys, we will always have a pack-and-play and a blow-up mattress ready for you!
Fall Time
You know in the movies where they rake up a GIANT pile of leaves and then jump in it? I got motivated and decided to rake the leaves in our front yard into a pile of leaves that was big enough to cover Aiden and me. The big tree in our front yard decided to dump all its leaves off at once, leaving me with an entire yard full of leaves, so Aiden helped me rake up this beauty:
Not as big as I had imagined, but it wouldn't hold its shape, and it took forever to rake! Along came Aiden...

And this is what my awesome pile of leaves looked like after he was done. Worth every minute of raking!
This is my favorite picture because Aiden made his own little pile of leaves and jumped in it. He's so creative!
He helped me rake the rest of the leaves up after he was done jumping. He actually had his own 'mini' rake, but preferred the huge heavy one. He's such a tough guy.

Love You!
We have been lovin' on our sweet toddler lately. He has recently picked up quite a few words and is an absolute riot.
A few weeks ago, I laid him down in bed, wrapped him in his "blankey" and said 'I love you!' and gave him a kiss. As I shut the door behind me, I heard him rustle out of his blanket, stand up and yell "LOVE YOU!!!!" It melted my heart.
The next morning as I was waiting for him to wake up, I heard a little voice softly say "Mommy, where are you?" This is a welcome change from the usual "All done, all done, all done..."
And he has also learned to trot like a horse, and is actually really good at it! I frequently find him trotting the circle of our house saying "horsey, horsey, horsey." Laughing all the way. I hope you can picture it, it's quite cute.

We love our cute little monster.
(Jo, notice how we are actually laying on the couch instead of the floor?! That's for you.)

Just Because
While my brain is fried from studying way too much, or I'm searching for a reason not to have to study anymore, the blog is calling my name! This is exactly why I shouldn't study at home :)
All I can say is that I heart my little family. Even though I locked our pizza and my keys in the car yesterday and had to have Bryce come save me (we celebrated 09/09/09 by ordering our favorite Idaho Pizza. How else could we celebrate?), my kitchen is a mess and I have no intentions of cleaning it, though I finally got all the laundry put away and hung and somehow the baskets filled up with dirty clothes again, and we have had spaghetti three times already this week, Bryce still loves my face and Aiden still yells "It's a Mommy!" every time he sees me. Life is good.

I have been getting cuddle time in the mornings and at night lately. I wouldn't trade it for the world!
